W10 VM keeps dropping network connection after changing focus to Mac

That's it - the W10 will drop network connectivity after I switch to Mac and then back to VM. If I reboot the entire Mac the cycle starts again. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Parallels Tools several times already. If I try to use "Troubleshoot" in W10 settings, sometimes it will say Invalid IP (or something like that). If I try to disable the Network Adapter, it will hang, or do nothing for a long period. TIA for assistance, this is driving me nuts!
 
Any advice on solving this? Or is there additional information needed? Rebooting my laptop multiple times a day is not workable.
 
Additionally - I am having to now frequently (almost always) Reset the VM as W10 will usually not shut down or restart but will either go to black screen, or sit with the Windows, spinning dots.
