W7 BSOD After Installing Parallels Tools

Hi guys..

I am trying to install and use parallels for the first time and everything goes fine until the installation of the Tools software. During the restart process after they have installed I am given a bluescreen, the only option I have to get back into the W7 VM is to restore it to an earlier point, which obviously does not have the tools installed.

And everytime i do try to install the tools the same things happens.

It works fine without the tools, but I need the tools installed too for things like copying files to the desktop.

I installed from a Bootcamp partition so i think that has something to do with it.

If anybody has a solution I'd appreciate if you could help me out!

did you have any other parallels tools installed before? you probably need to clean all the registry and run windows repair.

No tools were previously installed, from what it looks like i think the Windows Bootcamp tools support software installed on W7 is somehow conflicting with the Parallels Tools..

Not sure what to do at this point.

Please install Parallels Tools and report any problems you might have with it
