webportal IIS 7 Logon.aspx page failed requests

Hi there,

We are running the latest 2x app server/load balance/web portal on a 2008 sp2 standard server.

The console and load balancer are working perfectly but not on the web portal :-(

We are getting a delay when the first user goes to the web portal logon page, the delay is about 1-2 mins and eventually times out, I can force the delay by issuing a IISreset also Failed Request files are then logged
(I can send them if requested).

After a period of inactivity the problem happens again.

When you do manage get in there is an error regarding
"Message: Invalid 2X WebService location: http://localhost:81/2XWebService/2XWebService.asmx"
(2X Support are looking into this)

I have removed IIS and re-added the server is not multihomed (has a single IP) so bindings are not an issue.


2x Version 7.1 (Build 660)

II7 + II6 is installed

Hope anyone can help.

No I dont recieve message you stated, I understand the delay on compilation of the aspx files but i have confirmed that they are compiled within seconds (it's a fast server)

It also would not explain why after a period of inactivity on the web portal the same thing happens again.
 
After setting up another webportal on another server there was no delay.

I "cleanly" removed the 2x LB on the gateway and re-installed, it now works.
