    Hello,

    When I start Parallels, all the lights on my external hard drives start blinking regularly. Why is Parallels accessing my drives, and what is it doing? This is before I even start the virtual machine -- the screen is grey with a Windows 7 logo saying "click to start". The drives keep blinking even after I start up my VM.

    Even if I unmount the drives on the mac before starting Parallels -- though they are still plugged in -- the drives start blinking as soon as I start Parallels. Why is it doing this?

    Thanks
    Bob

    Anyone know? This is happening to me again, I don't like it.

    Hi bobito,

    Follow the steps to make the external hard drive connected to the Mac invisible on your Virtual Machine ;

    Go to Configure of VM ( http://kb.parallels.com/117287 ) > Options > Sharing > Share Folder > change from All Disks to Home Folder Only.

    Thanks,
    Manoj
