Why is parallels.log being written to when Parallels is not running?

Greetings,

I have been noticing that while my Mac is idle my disk space is slowly being consumed. To try and track down what is happening, I installed the WhatSize utility, and made sure to add the two Library folders to the list of folders that the utility scans. One of the biggest files in Library/Logs/ is parallels.log at 161 MB, and it appears that it is being written to in the middle of the night when I dont have Parallels running.

Ill post a portion of the log below, but after looking at it, can anyone tell me why it is being written to in the middle of the night?

Also, if this is innocuous, may I periodically delete the log?

I would love to know the answer to this. I am running Windows 7 on Parallels v5. The log file is now 12GB (more than 25% of the size of the virtual machine) and I'd like to delete it if possible... or at least get it down to a reasonable size. Any ideas?
