Why map Y: and Z:

This is probably a dumb question, but I couldn't find an answer looking.

Why does parallels automatically map both Y: and Z: in Windows? They are the same shares as far as I can see....

Why? If they are the same, is there any way to permanently unmap Y:? I unmapped in Explorer but on next system start it is there again??

What do you have set underneath Shared Profiles and Shared Folders? I would start by looking around in there.

I, also, have drives Y & Z mapped, as I have the 'map folders to drive letters' selected. One is the root level of my hard drive, the other is the root level of my user-account.

I am not sure of a method of setting the drive letters to different drive letters, sadly.

OK you were right. I don't think this is a setting I ever made - but the reason is share "Home folder" is checked and there is a custom folder for my home folder ~/me/
