Why some games run and some don't in Steam in Parallels desktop?

I am new, trying out Parallels because I am SO tired of all the work required to try to get a few games to run, using Wine of various types, on my new Mac Air M3. I thought this was the magic, installed it, got the Windows desktop which is very cool, ran Steam within that, and (I moved to a Mac after years in Windows so I have a lot of games in Steam) tried to play a couple of games. They worked, amazed. But then I tried to run Silent Hunter 4 (wolves of the Pacific) and it just shows that it is running, but there is nothing, no error messages, but the game never comes up. Tried Carrier Battles Guadalcanal, it starts and loads up, get the menu, go to run a scenario and I get a box in the middle of the screen that shows "Unity -1 and some stuff, and it shuts down.

I had thought this made the games think they were running on Windows 11; why do some run and some not? Before I spend the $99 to convert the trial, do MOST games run? Some run? If this isn't more compatible than PortingKit, for example, it's not worth the money for me.

    Thanks.

Currently Parallels seems not to be supporting DirectX 12

    - Any game from steam that runs with DX11 seems to be ok, at least on my M2 Pro
    - Any game that needs DX12 crashes

Understood but the games I'm having issues with (on my M3 system) are older games that do not require DX 12. In fact, their requirements (from their website ) are very modest.
