win 7 sp1 update fails

I've tried several times to update sp1 on my win 7 installation (parallels 9, on mavericks). Get error code 800FO829 but cannot find assistance on web. Any ideas, please?

Are you just using Windows Update to do this?

Please follow the steps to clean boot in Windows 7 as suggested at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

It is highly recommended to turn off the Antivirus and firewall on your Windows VM.
