Win 8.1 Pro Speed and Touch Screen under Parallels 8

Win 8.1 pro seems to run rather slow on a 2012 in mac mini with 16 Meg of ram under Parallels 8. Do I need a later version of parallels or are there other tips to make it run faster? Also, I have a touch monitor. Should the touch function work under Parallels 8?

You can try using Parallels Desktop 11 which is more compatible with Windows 8.1 as well as the touch monitor.
