Win 8 Full-Screen App Graphics Glitch on Parallels 8

Another problem I've noted with Parallels 8 and Windows 8 is that full-screen apps have a great deal of tearing and other graphics glitches.

This is the VM that has the problem installing Parallels Tools, generated right after the error dialog popped up.
 
So most probably the reason of graphics problems is corrupted tools installation.

Is there some way to resolve the problem? I don't see Parallel Tools installed, so I can't uninstall. And of course they won't install given the error.

I'd love to not have to reinstall the Windows 8 VM. Any help would be appreciated.
