macOS: Big Sur 11.6 Parallels Desktop: 17.0.1 Installation image: Win11_English_x64.iso Hi, I was trying to create a new Win11 VM, and I followed the instructions from this post https://kb.parallels.com/en/128449, after adding the TPM Chip and the installation began, a Parallels Virtual Platform screen presented to me, I selected continue and hit enter, a while later, then the UEFI Interactive Shell showed, awaiting input. If I type exit in the shell, I get back to Parallels Virtual Platform. Does anyone know how to get around these steps, I really appreciate it. Thanks.
Looks like initially you interrupted installation. After this Windows installation asks you to press a key to boot from CD/DVD What happens if you press any key? Assuming your VM is empty, you can remove virtual HDD from VM config (into trash), and add another one. This question should gone and installation started automatically
- What happens if you press any key? Below is the result. I tried removing HDD, and Parallels Desktop crashed, then I reinstalled, same old situation though.
I've successfully installed Windows 11. It turned out to be a problem with the installation image I downloaded with Firefox. I re-downloaded it today and there were no more issues during the installation. Cheers and thank for your help.
I have a similar issue when launching bootcamp I end-up in the UEFI interactive shell. I entered the 2 command lines as per mmika message above. However I get the message that EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.EFI is not recognized as an internal or external command. Please provide support. Thx.
Hello, DavidD43! Your case is different. Could you send technical data to Parallels and share its id here?
Hi, I faced same issue here but when I try to input these commands. This is happened. I use Apple Silicon (M1) though
I had this problem. I fixed it by following the steps in this link https://kb.parallels.com/en/128449. I went to Window > Control Center > "+" sign > Create New "Get Windows 11 from Microsoft".
