Window sliding off monitor

I downloaded a trial of parallels and I was having difficulty with my mouse. The mouse would drag down to the bottom right corner on Windows. Then after I closed it, I started Windows up and the screen just moves to the right of the screen and is not seen again, just the start menu on the bottom of the screen and it is unresponsive. I am working on a 20" Intel iMac with OSX 10.4.9. I have tried to restart it many times, both the Mac and the VM, but the problem still exists.

You are in "coherence" mode - the behavior is correct

Coherence mode hides the windows desktop. Only open windows will show up on your screen. If you prefer looking at the regular windows desktop, change to "full screen" or "windowed" mode from the Parallels view menu.
