Windows 11 CD/DVD ROM ISO File

Hello, I encountered a peculiar situation while using Parallels Desktop 18 to install Windows 11. It appears that the process automatically downloads a CD/DVD ROM ISO, which can be viewed in the configuration settings under the CD/DVD option. The said file is downloaded into the 'Parallels' folder that resides in the concealed library folder of MacOS.

Previously, I had moved my Virtual Machine (VM) to an external hard drive, reformatted my MacBook, and subsequently transferred the VM back to the system. Upon reinstalling Parallels Desktop 18 and restoring the VM.pvm file, I noticed a discrepancy. Unlike before, Parallels did not download the CD/DVD ISO file this time around.

My assumption is that this download typically occurs during the installation and downloading process of Windows 11. However, since I had already copied the .pvm file directly, the reinstallation did not necessitate a fresh download of Windows 11, thereby bypassing the download of the ISO file.

I am now in a predicament and would appreciate any guidance on how to manually download the CD/DVD ISO file. Any suggestions are welcome.

Not sure Why you'd still need the ISO, but the easiest way to get it is directly from MSFT's downloads page.

You know it's not, because it DLs iso with windows pro only

If you really need an ISO, go to UUPDump.net and follow the procedure there to download. Microsoft supplies only a .VHDX for Mac machines running M1 or M2 chipset. If you're on an earlier (Intel) machine, ignore the above instructions and download it directly from MS if you really need it.

File image format isn't a problem, but Home edition, which isn't available on official website for arm64 arch.

Ahh, didn't realize you were running Home version. If this is your personal machine, personally I'd invest a nominal sum and buy the upgrade license to Pro (better support, faster delivery). I have no personal experience with the Home version, sorry.
