Windows 11 Loses Network Connection When It Sleeps on M2 MacBook Air

For some time now I have a problem where if my computer goes to sleep Windows loses connection to the internet and the only way I can reconnect is to use the Settings- Network & Internet and run the troubleshooter. Oftentimes I must run the troubleshooter twice in order to reconnect. The error I get is "the default gateway is not available." Once the network is reconnected it works fine unless the computer goes into sleep mode again.
