    Hi everyone.
I need some help because there is no indication on Parallels website if there is full compatibility with Windows 11 Pro.
Just to let you understand better, my company told me they would let me use my Mac with a Windows emulator only if it emulates Windows 11 Pro.
Is anyone aware of any problems or limitations in this case?
Many thanks for your time and support.

Thank you so much Trishna for the answer, got it.

May I ask you something else? otherwise you tell me to whom I should write.
I have installed the trial version of Parallels in order to test it with our internal IT dept. and see if we can install all the needed apps.
In my Macbook I just have 60Gb free and I would like to allocate no more than 40Gb to Windows (including system files), how can I do it from Mac and/or Windows(Parallels) settings?

    Many thanks, Gian Luca

I am really sorry to bother you but I've been trying to connect to our company network and it does not give us the option to select the Domain in the Computer name / Domain changes window, as per attached picture, because is not a Windows 11 PRO version.
You told me Parallels is compatible to Windows 11 PRO but it appears is the Windows 11 Home.
When I have installed the trial version, it didn't ask me what version of Windows I wanted to install (Home or PRO). Is there anything we can do to activate the PRO functions in Parallels?
Please let me know what to do. Many thanks,
    Gian Luca

Thank you Pramesh for your email.
I understand what you are trying to explain and I appreciate your help. The problem is that, before to purchase a license of Parallels, I need to know few things that are not explained in any Forum or anywhere in the internet, at least for the kind of search that I have made.
What I need to know is the following:
    • Is it possible to install Windows 11 PRO version through Parallels? the HOME version is not accepted by our internal network.
    • How do I install it? because when I installed Parallels trial version it didn't ask me what kind of Windows I wanted to install.
    • To install Windows 11 PRO is necessary to have a M1/M2 Mac or it also would work with an Intel 2,3 Ghz Dual-Core Intel Core i5?
    • How much HDD free memory is needed to install it and to run it without restrictions?
As I said, I am trying to use my Mac with my company's network and I need Windows 11 PRO.
Sorry to take some of your time but I don't know how to get this information otherwise.
    Best regards,
    Gian Luca

If it helps, I'm running Win11 Pro (direct install from MSFT ISO) on my 2019 MBP using the standard desktop version of Parallels 17. I tested 18 when it was new and it came with Win11 Pro, but I don't recall if it was a trial license or not. Going off my my Current installed version of Parallels, I can say that installation is pretty straightforward using the popup interface or the File menu (New...). Then choose "Install Windows or another OS" that has the icon with CDs / USBs on it. From there, point it to the ISO you downloaded from MSFT or had available. I'm not really using it right now, so the space used is minimal, but it's currently taking up 50.05 Gb with only the raw OS that is current on updates (no other software installed, but the OS wasn't stripped either). Oh and you have to use v17+ of Parallels in order to get the TPM module added in settings (will need to do That before going further or OS installer will complain).

From what I've read on threads here for Win11 on Silicone, it gives the option to install Win11 Pro just like for me, but it's the ARM version of the OS due to the inability of Parallels (or any app I'm aware of) to mimic / translate the x86 platform, so you'll either have to use the pre-made VM from Parallels v18 or get ahold of the Enterprise version of it as the only other alternative is to use the Developer / Beta version from MSFT (licensing issue). I don't think that you can activate the latter either without the Enterprise version. I've also read on here that the Win11 VM people install on Silicone has a set capacity of (up to) 256 Gb, but there are many threads of people trying to fix some issue where the VM suddenly takes up a ton of Host disk space.

Personally, due probably in part to the restrictions from Apple, Parallels on Silicone is not as helpful for VMs as it is on Intel due to the platform's differences. Even MacOS Guests are restricted to needing a specific Host version in order to run the one you want. I think the only OSes you can run are Monterey and newer, but you have to have a Host with the same or newer OS IIRC, so kinda pointless to me. Windows is worse because of the x86 to ARM issues many have that will only continue unless MSFTs licensing changes and they, again, work with Apple to make drivers. There is no bootcamp on Silicone for that reason.

    Hello,
You will be able to install Windows 11 PRO through Parallels Desktop both on Intel and Apple Silicon Mac.
You may install Windows 11 PRO on your Intel Mac by following the below instructions:
    1. Download the Windows 11 ISO file from Microsoft Website using the link: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11
    2. Click [+] "plus" button in Parallels Desktop Control Center to start a new virtual machine installation.
    3. Select Install Windows or another OS from a DVD or image -> Continue
    4. Navigate to Windows 11 installation .iso image if it was not recognized automatically
    5. Follow Installation Assistant instructions until the installation is complete.
Kindly refer to this article for more details: https://kb.parallels.com/4729
Also, you must have at least 64 GB of space to run Windows 11.
Kindly refer "Virtual machine support" in this article for more information: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/whats-new/windows-11-requirements
    Thank you!!

Thank you so much for the time spent in sharing your experience with it.
I just have received a message from Parallels tech assistant as well explaining the installation process which is similar to what you described.
At this point I will wait till I replace my 2017 MBP with the latestg version by the end of the year because with Intel chip and only 256Gb HDD things will be quite difficult.
    Thanks again. Take care,
    Gian Luca

Thank you Pranesh for the explanation.

I will come back to this forum at that time in case I find any difficulty during the installation.
    Thanks again.
