I've updated Parallels Desktop to Version 20.3.0 (55895). After the installation of the Parallels Toolbox Update in my Windows VM (I'm on Windows 11 ARM on a MacBook Pro M1Max), I can't boot anymore. It says: No OS installed. My VM was working fine for the last years, so no clue what happened. Glad I had a Time Machine Backup, but also the Backup stopped working after the Update. Any suggestions?
Same. Hadn't used Desktop in a minute. It updated and now it's complete trash. No OS installed, "virtual hard disk has wrong permissions or used in another virtual machine" etc. I tried to contact support and my web browser was not recognized and since I don't have access to the recovery email for the account, I can't even log in. There's no phone number or other way to contact them. I had to back door it to even get in here. I've used this program off and on for many years (out of necessity otherwise I would never buy this program). I've paid around $500 for this program over the years and it continues to get more and more unusable. I use a Mac so I don't have to be a computer programmer to use my computer. After all the error messages on start up Parallels takes me to the text boot up screen with boot manager etc in their 1980's font. Garbage. I'm going to rethink my work flow and use an old PC (which is 10x less convenient) and ditch this program all together. So disappointing.
