I am having a lot of trouble installing Windows Updates. I can see the updates that are pending and can select all important updates or just an individual update. No matter which approach I try, the Windows Updates window will eventually report a failure, yet the Start button will show that there is an update to install at shut-down. That does not resolve the failure to update.
In all other respects, Parallels is going exactly what I need it to do with Windows 7 64-bit. I have no trouble using the apps I need (Word, Excel, IE and occasionally Outlook).
Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac - v 10.1.4 (28883)
MacBook Pro Retina (15-inch, mid-2014)
Memory - 16Gb
Storage - 25 Gb free of 63 Gb (Windows only - OS X has 149 Gb free)
OS X Yosemite - v 10.10.2
I have reclaimed disk space and cleaned up Parallels Desktop cache files.
How do I troubleshoot this?
