Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of your screen.
Right-click "Computer," then select "Properties" and "Activate Windows now."
Click "Show me other ways to activate."
Enter your Windows 7 product key at the prompt.
Click "Next."
Click "Use the automated phone system."
Select the location nearest to you from the drop-down menu.
Enter the confirmation number in the field provided.
Click "Next," and follow the onscreen prompts.

Enter your Windows 7 product key at the prompt.
Click "Next."

You should have no problems if you know the connection key.

To activate by using a direct connection
Open Windows Activation by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, right-clicking Computer, clicking Properties, and then clicking Activate Windows now.*
If Windows detects an Internet connection, click Activate Windows online now. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Type your Windows 7 product key when prompted, click Next, and then follow the instructions.
To activate by using a modem
Open Windows Activation by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, right-clicking Computer, clicking Properties, and then clicking Activate Windows now.*
Click Show me other ways to activate.
Type your Windows 7 product key, and then click Next.
Click Use my modem to connect directly to the activation service. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
