windows 7, locks up Mac Mini10.6.6

I have a windows7 image (plain minus our work s/w) that i use in several Mac computers with no problems (all 10.5.8)

Now, i bought a new MacMini.

When i launch windows, it behinds to start then gets stuck in the "loading windows" and locks up the whole mac!!!

i have left it on this screen for hours and nothing has happen.

A force restart of the whole computer is the only way to fix this.

1. Windows boots fine in safe mode.
2. i have repaired all permissions on the mac, it made no difference.

What gives?
 
fixed it...

turned out to be a memory problem with the computer itself (weird i only had issues with parallels) replacing the RAM fixed the problem.
