Windows 7 migration to Mac OS-X, which files are part of the migration

Hi everyone,
last week I bought my first mac Book Pro. In order to use my data and some of the applications I migrated my Windows 7 laptop to Mac OS-X via Parallels Transporter.
During the process to put all my Windows configuration on an external HDD I was asked if I wanted to migrate Win7 only, or also my applcations and documents. I chose the later.
To my disappointment I had to recognize after the migration to the Mac had finished, that only my C drive had been copied to the VM.
None of my data, which are located on my D partition, where copied to the VM.

Question:
Can I somehow copy all data from my Windows D partition copy to the freshly created VM, or do I to startover again, by 1st to bring everything on my C partition and than start the migration process all over again, which took me about 6 hours for the C partition of 270 GB alone ?

I am afraid it isn't possible. However, if you are trying to import your data over a network. I'd suggest you go for an external storage device to import your Windows 7 laptop to the Mac which would save you a lot of time.
Also, read KB #119172 before proceeding with migration.

1) I heard about shared folders, used from Mac and VM. Could that be a solution to add single files
to the virtual machine ? By adding I mean in this case, making accessible from the VM.

2) Please answer my question if Parallel looks only for the C-partition of a computer to be put into the file later to be used for the migration, or is there a way to specify that Parallels has to take files also from other partitions into account ? This would save me significally work first to copy my D-parttion to an external device, delete the D-parttion, expand my c-partition and copy my data from the D-partition back to the extended C-partition.

3) Will Parallels copy the whole C-partition to the migration file ?

Regarding your advice to use an external drive to import my laptop to the Mac: I did so !
