Hello,
Please follwo the steps metioned below:
1. Launch Parallelsl Desktop but do not start your Virtual Machine.
2. Go to Virtual Machine option in the manu Bar --> Configure.
3. Select Network Adapter if you have any and click on the -(minus) symbol and remove Network Adapter.
4. Click on +(plus) symbol and add Network Adapter.
5. Make sure it is enabled and connected.
6. Restart the Virtual Machine.

I am new to using a Mac and using Parallels. I installed Parallels 4.0 on a MacBook. I then installed Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade. The installation went fine until I got to the point where it asked me to put in the product code. It would not accept the code because I was using an upgrade version instead of a clean install. I did choose the custom option when I did the Windows installation. Since it would not accept the key, I left it blank and the installation completed. Now I am trying to activate the software, but it still will not accept the key. Any suggestions on how to get this to work would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
No network adaptor
I followed the aforementioned instruction with no success. The message I receive is:
The physical network adaptor connected to virtual network adaptor 1 does not exist. do youwant to save the virtual machine configuration anyway?

Do this
1)Open regedit.exe with Start Menu Search and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Setup/OOBE/
2)Change MediaBootInstall from "1" to "0". (Double-click it and then enter 0 in the dialog that appears.)
3)Close RegEdit.
Open the Start Menu again and type cmd in Start Menu search to display a shortcut to the Command Line utility. Right-click this shortcut and choose "Run as administrator." Handle the UAC prompt.
In the command line window, type: slmgr /rearm
Then tap ENTER and wait for the "Command completed successfully" dialog.
RESTART AND THEN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO USE YOUR KEY..
