    Hello

I wonder what is wrong with my VM, or my installation. My Windows 7 VM which is mainly Windows, Adobe Creative Suite & Quicken is about 75 gb. All of my data and documents are stored as mac files either under documents, or as networked drives using OneDrive or DropBox.

it seems my VM grows 50% every month without adding files. Periodically the Mac and the VM get bogged down, and then I go and delete snapshots to shrink the VM again.

What is my problem? What am I doing wrong?

My Mac is on the most current version of El Capitan, and my VM is running Windows 7. My hard drive is 20% free, and I have 16gb of ram on a 2013 IMac

    Thanks for your help
    Ted

    Hi,
    1. Please Go to your virtual machine > Configure > Security and check if you have the option 'Smart Guard' enabled. If enabled, please disable it.
    2. You can also follow this article http://kb.parallels.com/121578 and map your virtual machine to an empty hard disk to fix this memory issues.
