I certainly commend Parallels developers: they make such a great product and I've stuck with them since PD4. I just recently upgraded to a new iMac i5 4670 with 16gb ram and a GTX 775m. Been playing around with Windows games on PD for a while, but i think so far PD 9 is close, if not enough to actually not have to reboot into my windows install for gaming.

My settings on PD 9 are as follows:

    Windows 8.1
    8GB Allocated to Parallels
    4 CPU
1024 Ram in Graphics, with DX10.
    HD fixed, non-expanding image

First, a couple things i have found when using PD: when your resolution is 1080p+, the memory caching is too much for PD 9 to keep up with and constant hitching and stuttering occurs. I keep it lowered down to 720p and it works much better in that respect. Second, when gaming, i always exit coherence and enter fullscreen mode. Some games seem to work properly, but most need exclusive fullscreen access.

    A couple of gameplay demonstrations:

    1 - Deadpool:

This game does stutter when caching now and then, but overall it easily playable on PD9. Running 720p with max detail.

    2 - Dark Souls

Entering new areas is a bit frustrating sometimes due to some stuttering, but once its cached it runs with no issues. Running 720p with max detail.

    Excellent.

Overall, if there was a way to optimize memory reads a bit more on the graphics driver, then PD would have no issues at all. It seems that the graphics driver PD uses is great when memory is read though. Kudos so far though, i have not had to reboot into windows directly for some time now.
