Windows App Folder does not support shortcuts???

Sure it mirrors - more or less - your start menu shortcuts, but it does NOT use any of the commandline arguments that may be contained in the shortcut.

This is a pretty glaring problem. This means only EXEs with no commandlines can be run.

Yes, you are right. Command line arguments and working directory are not currently supported. It is known limitation.

I can't express how extremely frustrating this limitation is...

You can't run Explorer in any view but default.

You can't change working directory for apps that need it.


I love Crystal but I cannot use it completely until this is fixed.

Shortcut options

I love the Crystals view too, but would really appreciate some way to modify the startup options, as in Windows when you right click on a shortcut to specify the "start in" folder.

If Parallels just wants to duplicate the Windows options in the Parallels .app file (& document them), that would help, something like:
App start in =

Or allow us to quote the command line ( directory+executable + command line options) for "App Path =", that would be fine too. Otherwise when I start my programs, I always have to change drives and folders to get to my data files.

To be really "crystal", it would be great if we could click on the Crystal applications folder, and then right-click on the app that needs some "help", and then be offered the list of options that windows shortcuts provides.
