Windows cannot start: Corrupt or missing file

Apparently Windows won't start because the following file cannot be found or is corrupt:

<Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

How do I find this subdirectory on my iMac and how do I get a copy of ntoskrnl.exe to that location? All I see is a file:

elliot/documents/parallels/Windows XP.pvm

I'm running OS X Lion and Parallels 6.

You can mount your Pvm file as a drive on your Mac using the Parallels Mounter utility. Right click on your Pvm file, choose open with, and choose Mounter. If that is not a choice, you'll need to fetch it from \library\parallels on your Mac drive.

The ntoskrl file is on the source file/cd you installed Windows from.

Having said all this, I don't think it's going to be as easy as copying that file. That error message seems to indicate some sort of boot corruption. Has that Pvm ever worked?
