Windows can't startup after installing new software

I am running Windows 7 using Parallels 11 on OS X 10.10.5. Whenever I try installing new software on Windows, the next time I start Windows up, I just get a black screen with the mouse cursor. I then need to do a Safe Recovery startup. This latest time, even safe recovery couldn't fix the problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem or found a solution for it?

Hi @ErichD If you come across the same issue, please reset Windows Virtual Machine from Action->Reset and it should work. Thanks!
