Windows license question

If i run Win 8.1 via bootcamp, and install parallels desktop and run win 8.1 via that as well, this is technically two copies of windows, which would each require its own unique license key, correct?
 
IF you are using the Bootcamp install simultaneously natively and in Parallels, then technically it's just one copy, it's the same installation, the same partition, that is used. There's only one copy of Windows installed.
It's also impossible to key in two license codes for the same installation even if you wanted to.

You would need a separate license if you migrated the Bootcamp installation to a separate VM (virtual HD), creating a separate installation without removing the Bootcamp one. OR if you would create a new virtual machine with a new installation, for each separate installation as a virtual machine (not using the Bootcamp partition) Windows EULA requires a new license.

Relevant section of Windows 8.1 EULA:
e. Use in a virtualized environment. If you use virtualization software to create one or more virtual computers on a single computer hardware system, each virtual computer, and the physical computer, is considered a separate computer for purposes of this agreement. This license allows you to install only one copy of the software for use on one computer, whether that computer is physical or virtual. If you want to use the software on more than one virtual computer, you must obtain separate copies of the software and a separate license for each copy. Content protected by digital rights management technology or other full-volume disk drive encryption technology may be less secure in a virtualized environment.
