windows program using mac mail

I'm using Parallels 5 on my Macbook Pro with windows 7 Pro. The only reason I run windows is for one program that will not run on a mac. I need to send proofs from this software. I read some older posts saying this would be available in v4 but I cannot seem to make it work in v5. I can get it to be the default email client and open when I click on an email link in IE but not open a new email box when I need to send from this software. I installed Thunderbird in windows just so I can send out emails from this software but would like to use mac mail if possible. Anyone know if this is available yet? thanks.

I also run Parallels for one application and would like to assign on the windows side mac mail or outlook 2011 as the default mail client for this windows application to use for mail. the application is using a osmax.ocs to access outlook on the windows side, if there was a way to assign my mac outlook 2001 as that default application it may work, any suggestions?
