Windows Programs close on their own

So I have a Macbook pro running Parallels 8 and Windows 7 Professional installed.
When I start any program it will open for about 30 seconds and then closes on its own.
This happens even if I am trying to look at control panels etc.
Any idea how to stop this from happening?

Sounds like virus or Windows corruption. Try to run Windows Repair: http://kb.parallels.com/en/5223
And scan your Windows for viruses with the antivirus you prefer (in PD8 we have 90 days trial of Kaspersky).

Hi Blackeye, Have you solved your problem? I'm having exactly the same issue with a new install of Windows 8 and Parallels 8 on a brand new iMac!!!!! Would be good to know if you have resolved this,

Hmmm, I have a similar problem (with Windows 7).

I just had a 3-4 apps open in W7 including notepad.exe then I was 'doing some gesture' on my trackpad and all the apps closed (even notepad, which should have prompted me to save, since I had unsaved changes, but it didn't, so they're lost!).

Very strange, have had this on another W7 VM too.
