Several times a week the Windows Update service runs and drags my Windows XP virtual machine to a hault. Windows reports 100% CPU use, but the Mac OS reports low CPU use (around 20% for all processes). This leads me to believe that Windows is not really using that much CPU, but something is wrong in the virtualization process.
The specific process name is: wuauclt.exe.
My Windows XP virtual machine uses a Bootcamp partition. I am running Mac OS X 10.5.8 on a Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro with 2 GB of Ram. I am running Parallels 4.0.3846.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris
