Windows Update doesn't start

Hi there!
My Windows 8.1 on Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac (Updated to El Capitan) is stuck. I didn't use it for a wile and now Windows wants to install Updates. But for hours it is stuck at the 1st of 78 Updates. Nothing happenes. Shutting down the complete Mac didn't help. What can I do now?

Hello AxelH, If the computer freezes when you trying to download updates from Windows Update, use the method 1 as suggested in this article. If this method doesn't resolve the issue, follow to method 2 in the same article.

thank you for your quick help. As I use the german version, I don't exactly know, where to find "fix it". Is it in the Parallel Desktop menu bar? Or is it in the Windows Menu bar? Windows itself doesn't open anymore. Only the blue screen appears, saying "Don't turn off your Computer during the process. Update 1 of 78 is being installed". So I cannot start method 2 as I cannot click Start and Run in Windows...
