Windows Update Install error - 0xc1900101

    Hi

    The last two Windows 11 Canary insider builds are failing to install for me in Windows Update - I'm getting "Install error - 0xc1900101".

    Is anyone else having any issues or have any ideas on how I can fix this? I've tried disabling sharing which is all I could find on the forum.

    I've gad the same problem for a little while now. Glad it's not just me. I have followed a few of the troubleshooting steps in the past (turned off all sharing) but the issue still persists. I just sent a technical error report, but forgot to copy the ID to post here.

    Parallels update 19.2 still does not resolve the issue.

    Can confirm, updated Parallels and redownloaded the update - still won't install it.

    I am experiencing this issue as well while attempting to upgrade to Windows 11 Insider Preview 26016.1000 (rs_prerelease) (aka Canary). I have submitted technical report ID 445359985 in case it proves useful.
    2023 MacBook Air M2 24GB / 1TB
    macOS 14.2 Sonoma build 23C64
    Parallels 19.2.0​

    I'm running into the same issue as well for the last 3 weeks. Followed all the trouble shooting steps, uninstalled some software and still the same issue/error exists Install error - 0xc1900101. Following this for updates.

    Installed Parallels 19.2.1 this morning and still seeing the issue

    I have made a number of posts here and on the MS Insider forrums on my efforts to resolve the problem with upgrading to Canary versions beyond 25997. I'm still waiting an answer from either.

    Windows Insider Beta and Developer install with no problem. I use the exact same configuration on Beta, Developer and Canary and only Canary will not update. This has been a problem since Canary release 25997. I have reported this on the MS Feeback forum and here for some time now. This sounds more like a change was made on the Microsoft side and not Parallels.

    I've been waiting on anything from Microsoft since Canary build 25997. Grab a seat and make yourself comfortable. Apparently it's a long wait.
