    Hi guys,

Im currently deploying 2x application server in a mixed environment of Server 2003 and Win XP.

I have the system working fine on terminal servers. Basically I have two backend terminal servers running 2x application server publishing Outlook. I then have around 40 terminal servers running the 2x client. This all works perfectly and was straightfoward to setup.

I am now trying to configure Windows XP Pro clients to use the 2x client. Sometimes Outlook works but other times it does not, which is very frustrating!! It seems that the 2x loads but cannot make a remote sessions with the server. Yet there is full connectivity confirmed by pings. I have this error in event viewer:

The description for Event ID ( 5000 ) in Source ( 2X Application ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: [00/0000002D] 2X Application: COM registration for TUXIconHandler.dll returned 0.

Does anybody have any idea as I really need to get this working!!

    Thanks in advance
    James

    Hello,
Try to reinstall 2X Server with administrative privileges.

What error do you get on the client, the event view message is pretty normal and states no error.
