Windows Xp Crashes on Parallels

I'm trying ot run Windows Xp Home on MacBook Pro with OS 10.4.8 Windows asks to register, I choose online registration ( via wireless connection) I go through the steps up to entering personal data and Windows crashes and vanishes from the screen. Have restarted from cold. No help. Using basic machine setup that setup wizard suggests. Any help would be appreciated- tonyb
