WIndows XP no space left on disk

Hi.
I recently downloaded trial version Parallels Desktop (8.0.18). I wanted to try before buying. I ran into one problem - I made disk for Windows XP in Paralles - size of 128G. After installation of windows and few programs (around 10G) it says that there is not space left on disk - but it is impossible there should be still more than 100G. And there is just two options - to Repeat or Stop (after this I am not able to run Windows again because of low space on harddisk).

It says to try to free some space, but because of this error message, I cant even access my windows.

Do you know how to get rid of this message?

PS: On my disk where is paralles installed is still around 500G free...

Thank you

Hi Thomas

There are several things you can try:
(this would be my first choice)
First select your vm
from the parallels menu next to the apple Select Virtual Machine >Configure >General>Reclaim
If this option works make sure you have Parallels Tools installed inside your vm.

The other option is to reinstall Parallels uninstall instructions http://kb.parallels.com/en/114624
then just reinstall Parallels this will not effect the vm.
Once you open the vm make sure you install Parallels tools.

When you installed XP, how did you partition the drive? Did you use all the space you configured in Parallels (128 GB) to just one partition (preferable) or did you partition it differently? How big where those partition(s)?

Hi.

So I did the Reclaim - but it says that there are no data to delete or compress.

I tried to reinstall Paralles, but no effect, Parallels Tools are installed.

I made one partition - 128G....

I tried to add another disk - but still error with no memory :(

Did you follow the on screen prompts from Parallels to create the vm or did you create a boot camp partition in your mac?
