So I upgraded my MacBook Pro a while back ago and increased it to 8GB of Memory. When I use my Windows XP VM on parallels 5 it only reads 2.75GB of Memory. I did all the configuration and used the Main Memory slider to use at least 4GB of Memory, but it never uses it. It is always stuck on 2.75 GB or lower. Help please? I want to be able to use my full 8GB or at least 4GB.

Yeah well I just installed Windows 7 which is also 32-bit version and its doing the same thing. I also set it to 2 CPUs and its still reading it as 32-bit after installation. For the windows 7 it says "8GB RAM installed (2.75GB Usable)"

you need a 64-bit operating system to use more RAM. Simple as that.
