Has anyone ever run into this issue? I'm installing windows....their lovely blue-screen comes up with the Windows Setup thing....I run through all of the set up questions...everything seems to be working just fine. Then Windows restarts itself and rather than going into the actual Windows install I go back into the Windows Setup screen again (the blue screen). I can't get it to finish the install. Any ideas? I'm using a fully licensed copy of XP Home.

Non-system disk error after reboot?

I was having the same problem with the initial reboot during the install process. I changed the boot sequence as directed above. At first I got a non-system disk error, so I checked the floppy drive settings and I saw it was set to "enabled at start". So I unchecked that, but now I'm just looping through the initial blue setup screen once again. Any more help on this, please?

UPDATE: I answered my own question. Looking around the forums I saw something about changing the IDE to 0:0 for the HDD on an unrelated matter. I tried it just for fun and it worked! I'm watching XP Install as I type this in Safari. Awesome.

I am having the EXACT same problem as above.

I have done the blue format/partition setup and upon reboot it repeats. I switched to HDD first and low and behold the black WINDOWS CANNOT READ BOOT DISK screen.

HDD is set at 0:0
CD is set at 0:1
Floppy is off
I used an image file (iso)

Someone please help me get this set up.:(
