Windows XP will not install

Am following Parallels tech support instructions and Widows XP starts install process & runs for about 3 minutes & will not continue. Gives error message about some corrupted file. Tried to make an ISO image of the Windows Boot CD but that process would not complete either -message says ""failed input/output error"

Also tried this on 2nd brand new laptop with same results. Am using new Windows XP proffesional bought at Staples

The disk is shot or dirty. I know it's a long shot, but see if you can get a replacement disk from Microsoft. The key you have should be okay so it shouldn't be a problem.
