Wish windows mobile 5 devices worked

I have a T-mobile vario and although when i plug it in, Parallels shows up "Generic RDIS" in th elisted usb devices, windows doesnt pick it up and a windows mobile device, so active sync doesnt see it.
Any ideas how to get this working, or is it something you are looking into?
