I find that XP will sometimes lock up right after it completes booting. This happens once every couple of times I start XP. Which means once a day to once every few days.
The scenario is this:
XP is started up.
Login completes.
I go to start up a program ( any program) and the XP system freezes.
I give it a minute to see if it will come back and then have Parallels Reset XP.
XP boots back up I log in and everything is fine. I use the system for hours after this never have a problem.
So the questions are:
Why does this happen?
Is there a fix?
Will the resets cause disk corruption or other related problems that I need to be concerned about?
Thanks
