    Hi,

I've installed Windows Virtual PC on my Windows partition because I'm trying to run the Windows XP Mode in order to install and run different version of Internet Explorer (see http://blogs.sitepoint.com/ie6-ie7-ie8-win7-xp-mode/).

However when I try to run the XP Mode I get the following error:
'Cannot start Windows Virtual PC Host Process. Check the System even log for more details
Windows Virtual PC requires hardware-assisted virtualization. There is no hardware-assisted virtualization support in the system.'

Can anyone offer any advice on how I could resolve this issue?

I'm running Windows 7 Pro on the Windows partition and have an 3.2GHz Intel Core i3 iMac running OS X 10.6.7 with all software updates.

Many thanks in advance for any information and advice.

    Tony.

    Hi,
Also, I have a related question.
I couldn't make XP mode work in my system either.
    It won't load win xp.
I tried vmware player. But that also doesn't work. It says, "you are running vmware via an incompatible hypervisor..."
I am desperate to run windows XP within win7 (as some of my finance programs need win xp).
    Any options?
(I know I can create a separate win xp virtual machine. But I don't want to do that just for one or two program sake)
    Sunil
