XP Service Pack 3 installation problem

Brand new PD4 installation (using an existing BootCamp partition ~36GB).

First thing I did was go to Windows Update and successfully DLed SP3, but the installation fails claiming that there is not enough space on C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB898461$ to install the service pack.

There is over 32GB free on the drive - so what might be going on there?

Are you trying to install the updates loading natively to Windows?
