    Hi
Just wanted to alert everyone to a major fail
Attempted update to 10.10.3 Screen Shot 2015-04-08 at 22.54.22.png has resulted in my MacBook Air rebooting into a Windows blue screen
IMG_2567-1.JPG No idea how to resolve this - too late to attempt now
If I wasn't so pi**ed off, the irony of this would make me laugh

    Hi DavidB3,
Could you please let us know, how you installed Windows on to your Mac? Have you used Boot Camp or Parallels Desktop for Mac?
If you have used Parallels Desktop for Mac, when this screen appears, use this combination key on the key board "Ctrl+Command+F". It is the shortcut key to switch between full screen and Window mode for Parallels Desktop. If you see Parallels Virtual Machine window after pressing "Ctrl+Command+F" , click > Action menu on the top > restart Virtual machine and check if the issue still persisting.

Hi Ram - it is Parallels 9 Desktop for Mac.
Unfortunately there is no response to "Ctrl+Command+F"

I literally can't do anything with it at all ... there are no responses to any keys or shortcuts and I can't use any of the boot options as the usual boot initiaisation with the bong doesn't happen

My current plan is to wait for the battery to go flat and then try booting again and see if I can safe boot

Problem solved: I tried resetting the SMC and the PRAM. I did the SMC first - but no luck - then I did the PRAM and that sorted it. After the PRAM reset, I ended up back in the "completing installation" window ... so I guess the problem was triggered by the installation getting interrupted somehow.

    PRAM reset instructions:
    1. Shut Down. 2. Turn on 3. Immediately press and hold the Option-Command-P-R keys simultaneously. Continue holding the keys down until Mac restarts, and you hear the startup sound for the second time. 4. Release the keys.
