l upgraded to yosemite and now get an error message when starting my Windows 7 VM. Windows dows not start and parallels tells me, that there is no access to harddisk 0 due to missing files or user rights. Therefore Windows dows not detect a boot device. Booting from the install DVD does not work either, as windows does not have access to the Mac harddrive. The VM then shrinks to mere 4MB. Recovering an earlier version f the VM did not work either, reinstalling the whole system did not work as well. A WIN 10 VM works without problems, but my WIN 7 VM surely does not. As I need the data and programms from this VM, being able tomhave acces to this VM is vital. Any ideas? Thank's.
Hello ThomasK2, Please follow the steps as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/112140 & check with the issue. Also refer the KB article http://kb.parallels.com/116508 for more details. If you are trying to recover the early version of Windows 7 Virtual Machine from backup , check with the size of the PVM bundle, a valid Windows.pvm bundle will be greater than 16GB in size and try to recover your Windows 7 Virtual Machine.
