The Eudora Settings file is 92 k in High Sierra. The Eudora Settings file is 0 k as seen from MacOSX 10.6.8 via Parallels Shared Folders or when copying from High Sierra to 10.6.8 via the desktop. I'm running some old programs and, most importantly, Eudora in 10.6.8 to retrieve old e-mails.

Problem solved by starting Eudora via an alias of Eudora Settings (in 10.6.8). In my configuration Eudora (the program) is, of course, in 10.6.8 but all my files are in 10.11.5 for easy backup. The files in 10.11.5 are reached from 10.6.8 via an "Eudora Folder alias" under Documents i 10.6.8...

I'm no longer able to start Eudora in 10.6.8. with my own settings. Eudora settings is a 92 kB "Preference document" in 10.11.5. However, in 10.6.8 under Parallels, in the alias folder, the same file is a zero kB Unix Executable File.
