I spoke too soon, somehow this time around "USB & Bluetooth" is listed when clicking "+". I added it and now "External Devices" works! Hope this helps somebody.

One more clue is when using "Action" -> "Configure" -> "Hardware" there is no "USB & Bluetooth" configuration item. Clicking on "+" doesn't list it there either.

Also note that this VM was migrated from VirtualBox. I just tested installing brand new from the install DVD and it does have "External Devices" and can capture the USB drive. How do I get the "External Devices" menu item back? There is a lot of software installed and Windows 7 is already...

Found the fix: Press Apple+H while in the VM and the screen will instantly minimize.

Yes, Alt-Enter works, what I want is to minimize not just return it from full screen. I'd like to be able to treat the VM as another desktop, full screen switch into the VM, and later return full screen switch into MacOS X.

Disabling kbdmgr.exe using msconfig.exe fixed the problem for me. I had to manually install Parallels Tools as I had been rebooting the VM a few times interrupting the previous installs.
