I tried to buy a new license for Parallels Desktop 18 Standard Edition at the price that was advertised on the Parallels.com website. According to the page at https://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/buy/?full the price should be a one time fee of $74.99 (25% discount off of the regular price of $99.99). This is the same price as advertised on partner websites such as https://appleinsider.com/articles/2...s-on-your-mac-save-25-on-parallels-desktop-18: When I click on the "Buy Now" button, I go to the https://buy.parallels.com/329/purl-...2.1351790397.1669394118-1316013234.1669394118 page which then displays a price of $97.49 discounted from an "Original Price" of $129.99. See the attached screenshots. What's going on here? Is the website broken? I can't imagine that Parallels would intentionally jack up the price and then advertise a 25% discount from that. I'm not a lawyer, but that would be considered a deceptive trade practice under the laws where I live and could subject Parallels to thousands of dollars in fines. I tried to call Parallels (after spending much time trying to locate their phone number) only to be kept waiting for a representative for over 1.5 hours before giving up. I tried reaching out to Parallels via chat and email, but apparently I am not allowed to do so even for a "Pre-sales" question! Can someone at Parallels please fix the website so that I can order Parallels Desktop 18 Standard Edition at the $74.99 price?
I came here because of the same reason. Website says $74.99 for the standard 1 time purchase license. It's wanting to charge me $97 for the license on the checkout page, or subscribe for $74 for the first 12 months. Parallels Home Screen shows the discount as $74.99 for the standard, non subscription version. Based on not getting a reply at all I'm sure this promotion will expire before I get any help. Parallels support feel free to send me a coupon or something for the $74.99 1 time purchase to my inbox and I'll subscribe. Thanks
