All mouse and keyboard input stopped working

    Hello,
    As a possible solution, kindly follow the below steps:
    0. Shut down the affected virtual machine.
    1. While the Virtual Machine is running, from the Top menu bar, click Actions > select Reset.
    2. Perform this action 3 times consecutively. This will boot your Windows into recovery mode.
    3. Once in recovery mode, Click on Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup settings > Restart > Press 4.
    4. Once in Safe Mode,try reinstalling Parallels Tools ?

    Hello,
    As a possible solution, kindly follow the below steps:
    1. Launch your Windows 11 Virtual Machine.
    2. Click on Actions Menu on top of the mac menu bar > Select Reinstall Parallels Tools > You will get a Prompt where you need to select "Yes" to proceed.
    If Installation of Parallels Tools is greyed out, please provide us with a screenshot.
    3. Restart the Windows 11 and verify if the issue is persists ?
    If the issue persists, for us to further investigate this issue, kindly reproduce the issue and collect a technical report (right-click Parallels icon in Dock > Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and provide us with the report's 9-digit ID in reply to this post.

    Hello Pramesh,
    I'm having the same issue - also having Steam installed on my Windows VM.
    I tried everything you suggested but it didn't work, even in safe mode.
    I just sent the Technical report #439759728.
    Please help.

    Trying to boot Cities Skylines 2 on Steam. Read a sugguestion to preform a hard reboot. Now, it is not connecting to my network via Mac and I do not have access to my mouse.

    The good news is that this is a known issue related to Steam's "Xbox extended feature support", you can read about it here: https://kb.parallels.com/129438

    The bad news is that you need a Parallels Pro or Business edition to solve the problem. If you're stuck to a Standard edition, the only thing you can do is reset your Windows (with Parallels you can do this without mouse).

    I would kindly request that Parallels gives us an option to delete the Windows Registry Key for that Steam checkbox even for Standard versions.

    Hi Parallels Support,
    Im still stuck on this problem and tried the given options, sadly with no effect. I put in a report under de ID
    451497488.
    Would love to get a solution back for this since i need it for school. Thanks!

    But that only works if you have either Parallels Desktop Pro Edition or Business Edition.

    It's 2025. I'm on an M1 MacBook Pro with Parallels 18 Standard installed running Windows 11 Pro. Everything has been working great up until tonight. I don't know what happened. It may have been Steam updating, but I no longer have the a mouse pointer or the ability to navigate Windows with the keyboard. I've tried suggestions in this thread to no avail.

    Anyone ever get this solved?
