Application Server and Load Balancer Version 4.3.0 (189) - 07th Feb 2007

Server:
Adding a Terminal Server Agent does not require you to install anything on the machine. You are now able to install the Terminal Server Agent from the Managment Console.
Agent State now shown in the Terminal Servers Page.
Allow Authentication with the domain specified by the client.
Support of UPN users. (user@domain)
Client Gateway Forwarding Mode
Client Gateway binds to a specific IP.
Fallback HTTP Servers and Publishing Agents and forwarding gateways
Publish Content Documents
Improved filtering and authentication

MSI..

When i edit the msi for the newest build, the checkupdatelaunch - 1 option is not working or the redirectcomports option 0. All other edits in the msi are working and i have it set to overwrite any client settings.
 
Hi nerdpatrol,

Please note that 'checkupdatelaunch' works if the user logged in has administrative rights. This is required as you'll need administrative rights in order to install the client.


I've also re-checked 'redirectcomports' and it works, can you please re-verify.

I checked these issues with build 197.

It would help is build 197 is on the download page, 194 is the one on there.

The reg keys are not deleted after the uninstall because when an upgrade is done; an uninstall and install process are being done sequentially. If the reg keys are deleted, the settings obviously will be lost.

Therefore by design, reg keys are not deleted.
Though sometimes one would require to override the current client settings. This is possible by using the MSI option 'OVERRIDEUSERSETTINGS'

OVERRIDEUSERSETTINGS: To override the user settings with client MSI
settings.
0 – Client settings are not overridden
1 – Client settings are overridden with the new settings of the Client MSI setup.
 
Yes, i did that overwrite setting and it didnt work, i had to delete the reg key for the msi to work correctly. The setting to turn off serial ports and checkforupdated would not pull from the msi, untill i deleted the reg key.

I've re-checked with 2X Testing department and confirmed that 'OVERRIDEUSERSETTINGS' option is OK on build 197 and build 199. There are no such issues.

I've re-tested this option myself and everything works fine.

Test 1:

A. Install build 197 (MSI settings as default)
B. Downloaded build 199 (edit MSI settings) [OVERRIDEUSERSETTINGS]
C. Changes on 199 [Step B] override the registry settings - OK

Test 2:
A. Install build 199 (MSI settings as default)
B. Uninstall (settings are kept in the registry)
C. (edit MSI settings) [OVERRIDEUSERSETTINGS]
D. Install MSI with new settings [Step C]
C. Changes on 199 [Step C] override the registry settings - OK
