Parallels Desktop 18, permanent edition. Running on 2017 MacBookPro, non-touch bar, running OS 13.7.6. VM is Mac OS running last update of Sierra.OS 12
My Canoscan 9000F was running fine forever, connected through an Anker USB3 hub, then through and ASnket USB-C hub to my laptop. Recently I had to replace that USB-C hub and now when I activate the scanner software within the VM it gives me an alert saying "Unable to connect."
I've done everything I can find on the web, download new scanner driver, eliminate duplicate drivers (I think), replace software (Canon MP Navigator 3.1.5) try new cords, try hooking directly to the laptop using an adapter, nothing works. However the scanner still works fine on an older Mac laptop running High Sierra.
Paralles online guidance, as always, applies to running a Windows VM, so it's no use to me. I'm sure it's just a software issue of some sort. I really don't understand the complexities of all of this. Does anyone have any suggestions.
